TOD, the Middle East and North Africa’s leading sports and entertainment streaming platform, today announced that it will make the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 Final available to stream free-to-view across the region, following the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) ruling to award the title to Morocco.
The final, played on 18 January 2026 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, had originally concluded with Senegal securing a 1–0 victory after extra time in a tightly contested match.
The game later became the subject of significant attention following a late penalty decision that led to a temporary on-field protest.
CAF Decision & Outcome
On 17 March 2026, CAF’s Appeal Board ruled that the incident constituted a breach of tournament regulations and declared the match forfeited, awarding Morocco a 3–0 victory.
Morocco has therefore been recognised by CAF as AFCON 2025 champions, securing their second continental title and their first since 1976.
In line with its ongoing commitment to expanding access to premium sports content, TOD will make the final available free-to-view, giving fans across the Middle East and North Africa the opportunity to revisit one of the competition’s most talked-about matches by registering for free on the platform.
This approach builds on a series of initiatives by TOD to open access to major sporting moments, including previously offering events such as the Arab League Cup and the Super Bowl free of charge to audiences across the region.
These moments reflect the platform’s broader strategy to connect more fans with the biggest events in sport and create shared viewing experiences at scale.
Strategy & Impact
By continuing to make select premium content available at no cost, TOD is strengthening its role as a platform that not only delivers world-class sport and entertainment.
but also broadens access to it – bringing new audiences into the experience and deepening engagement with fans across MENA.
The AFCON 2025 Final stands as a defining moment in African football – shaped not only by the action on the pitch, but also by the events that followed.
Through this initiative, fans across the region can relive the drama, intensity and significance of a final that will be remembered for years to come.
