The Third Edition of Sports Expo 2025: A Global Milestone with 200 Exhibitors and 15,000 Visitors

The highly anticipated Sports Expo 2025 successfully concluded its third edition, solidifying its status as one of the largest sports and investment events in the Middle East.

Held under the patronage of the President of Egypt, the expo took place from February 24 to 26 in partnership with Sports United, showcasing Egypt’s growing influence in the global sports arena.

The event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, alongside Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and an array of notable local and international sports figures.

Over 200 exhibitors from leading sportswear manufacturers, sports equipment producers, and other industry players participated, attracting an impressive 15,000 visitors.

Highlights of the Expo

Attendees enjoyed a wide variety of activities, including football matches, table tennis tournaments, weightlifting contests, shooting events, and other recreational games that fostered engagement.

The expo emphasized Egypt’s role in promoting sports investment, drawing global companies and inspiring innovative projects across the sports industry.

Major international organizations, including FIFA, CAF (Confederation of African Football), and La Liga, were represented alongside clubs such as AC Milan, Al-Nassr FC, Real Madrid, and Benfica.

Renowned football legends like Dida and Mikaël Silvestre graced the event, adding to its international appeal.

The expo featured three main pillars aimed at showcasing sports as a tool for economic development:

. Sports and Technology – Presenting cutting-edge solutions like AI-powered performance analysis, virtual reality fan experiences, and advanced live broadcasting technologies.
. Community Development through Sports – Discussing football’s impact on skill-building and CAF’s initiatives to advance African football.
. Digital Transformation – Exploring how technology is reshaping the sports industry and fan interactions.

Key Sessions and Activities

• On the first day, discussions in partnership with Soccerex highlighted the role of sports in community development, with Al Ahly SC sharing insights on sustainable sports management.
• The second day focused on financing opportunities in the MENA region, the growth of women’s football, and addressing mental health challenges for athletes.
• The final day featured the signing of two major cooperation protocols:
• Between Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and e-finance to enhance digital payment services.
• With the Arab Federation for Sports Marketing, aimed at establishing a network of small clubs utilizing ministry assets.

The event also launched “Score,” a national digital platform designed to empower athletes and attract private sector investments in sports, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Celebrating Creativity

An art competition involving over 2,000 students from 93 schools capped the event, fostering youth creativity and recognizing emerging talent.

With its state-of-the-art infrastructure, Sports Expo 2025 reaffirmed Egypt’s position as a global leader in hosting international sporting events, blending innovation, investment, and community development.
