
Under the leadership of Mr. Mahmoud Bazan, the Food Export Council announced a historic milestone in Egypt’s food export sector, From January to October 2024, exports reached $5.1 billion, surpassing 2023’s total by over $30 million.
This represents an 18% growth, marking the highest value and growth rate in the sector’s history.
Arab markets
Arab markets led the way with $2.675 billion in exports, accounting for 53% of the total, followed by the European Union with $1.023 billion (38% growth).
The United States recorded $277 million in exports, reflecting a 38% increase.
the top importing countries
Among the top importing countries, Saudi Arabia ranked first with $393 million (16% growth), while The Netherlands achieved the highest growth rate at 106%.
Key exported products included soft drink concentrates ($463M), with standout performances from edible oils (155% growth) and frozen potatoes (898% growth).
