Effective June 2, 2025, Salmeen Al Ameri will assume the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, while Alan Smith will transition to an advisory role to ensure a smooth handover and continued

development of the Group.

Alan Smith will step down as CEO after leading the Group since 2020 through a transformative phase of growth.
During his tenure, Agthia expanded from two to four core business segments, completed six strategic acquisitions, and more than doubled its revenues from AED 2.1 billion in 2020 to AED 4.9 billion in 2024.

A New Vision with Salmeen Al Ameri
As the incoming Managing Director and CEO, Salmeen Al Ameri will prioritize accelerating growth across Agthia’s four segments, solidifying its position as a global leader in food and beverages.
He will spearhead initiatives in digital transformation, AI adoption, customer-centric approaches, and innovation, ensuring a sustainable business model for the future.
Proven Expertise and Leadership
Al Ameri, who has served as Agthia’s Vice Chairman since May 2020, has played a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s long-term vision, including its ambitious 2030 strategy
. He brings extensive experience in driving organic growth and international expansion within the food and agriculture sectors, having held key roles at Silal and Al Dahra.
