
As part of its commitment to revitalizing Egypt’s tourism sector and enhancing strategic investments, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has unveiled the Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza project.
This luxurious five-star hotel is set to become a landmark addition to Egypt’s hospitality and tourism industry, underscoring the UAE’s dedication to fostering global economic partnerships and sustainable development.
Valued at AED 440 million (US$ 120 million), the project includes 302 state-of-the-art rooms, a variety of international restaurants, and premium entertainment facilities, positioning it as a leading destination for luxury hospitality in the region.
The project is funded through a strategic collaboration between the private sectors of the UAE and Egypt. ADFD, through Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company (ADTIC), contributes 84.28% of the capital. Additionally, Abu Dhabi National Hotels owns 10.22%
, Overseas Tourism Investment Company holds 0.4%, Misr Hotels Company owns 2.73%, and the Egyptian General Company for Tourism & Hotels owns 2.37%.
The foundation stone was jointly laid by His Excellency Governor Eng. Adel Al-Naggar from the Egyptian government and His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADFD, in the presence of senior officials from both nations.
