About Mohamed Hegazy (1964–2020)

Born on August 30, 1964, Mohamed Hegazy grew up in Cairo and studied business at Ain Shams University before pursuing a career in photojournalism. He joined Al Ahram in 1990, covering diverse fields such as sports, youth, arts, and entertainment. Over time, he rose to the position of Photography Department Manager and later Vice Editor-in-Chief of Nisf Al Dunia magazine.

Hegazy’s body of work is a rich archive that reflects his passion for photography and his unique ability to narrate stories through visuals. His legacy continues to inspire and resonate through his timeless collection.
