
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) Committee, Saudi Arabia has announced the second edition of the Human Capability Initiative (HCI 2025).
The event, themed “Beyond Readiness,” is scheduled to take place on April 13-14, 2025, at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh. In conjunction with HCI 2025, the Saudi Ministry of Education will host the Education Global Exhibition (EDGEx) from April 13-16, 2025.

HCI 2025 will focus on key themes of learning, belonging, and action, emphasizing the need to nurture human potential amid rapid global transformations.
The conference envisions a world where individuals and communities collaborate to drive progress, apply innovative learning methodologies, build inclusive societies, and empower changemakers at all levels.
His Excellency Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, Minister of Education and Chairman of the HCDP Executive Committee, expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince’s patronage, stating: “The second edition of HCI reaffirms the importance of uniting global efforts and fostering dialogue to shape the future of human capability development.
” Regarding EDGEx, he highlighted that the exhibition will serve as a platform for local and international universities, industry leaders, and experts to explore advancements in education and technology, including artificial intelligence, creating new investment opportunities aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia launches the HCI 2025 initiative
HCI 2025 will host over 12,000 participants, including leading government officials, business leaders, policymakers, and global experts, alongside more than 300 international speakers from diverse sectors
. Building upon the success of the inaugural HCI conference in 2024, which welcomed over 10,000 attendees, facilitated the signing of over 40 agreements and MOUs, and attracted investments exceeding 3.9 billion Saudi Riyals, the 2025 edition aims to further strengthen global collaboration in human capability development.
EDGEx 2025, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Education, will highlight cutting-edge innovations in education, showcasing leading universities, institutions, and edtech companies.
It will also feature interactive workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and strategic partnership opportunities with renowned global educational institutions.
